Jesse Vasquez, Head Coach

Jesse Vasquez is a Division I wrestler, international competitor, and high-level coach who has spent his entire life immersed in elite wrestling environments.

He began his journey as a Sunkist Kids / Monster Garage athlete, later becoming part of Titan Mercury Wrestling Club (TMWC)—one of the premier Olympic-level wrestling clubs in the world—surrounding himself with world-class athletes and coaching from an early age.

A 4-time California State Champion, Jesse was also a finalist at some of the most prestigious high school tournaments in the country, including the Ironman Tournament and Doc Buchanan Invitational. He competed for powerhouse programs including St. John Bosco and Santiago High School, before finishing his career at Excelsior Charter High School, where he won his final two state titles.

He was also a pioneer in the homeschooling space, becoming one of the first wrestlers to compete for—and win—at the CIF State Championships while enrolled through a charter/online education system (Canvas), helping pave the way for future athletes to follow that path.

Jesse went on to become a Pac-12 Conference Champion, NCAA qualifier, and USA Wrestling National Triple Crown Winner, while also representing Mexico as a Mexican World Team Member on the international stage.

At Arizona State University, Jesse trained in one of the most elite rooms in the world. As a freshman, he served as a primary training partner for Olympic-level athletes, helping prepare competitors such as Frank Molinaro, Nick Suriano, and Stevan Micic for international competition. Throughout his time at ASU, he consistently worked with world-class wrestlers—including international athletes and Olympic medalists—gaining firsthand experience training with the best in the world.

He has trained under and alongside some of the most respected coaches in the sport, including Zeke Jones (Olympian and former USA Wrestling National Team Head Coach), Mark Perry (NCAA Champion, University of Iowa), John Azevedo (Olympian), and JD Hawkins, a highly respected leader in the wrestling community. He is also an athlete of The Treigning Lab, working with elite performance coach Sam Calavitta.

Jesse earned his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University, double majoring in Sports Psychology and Business, and is currently completing his Master’s degree in Business at California Baptist University (CBU) while finishing his collegiate wrestling career.

In addition to his competitive success, Jesse brings over 5+ years of high-level coaching experience, working with athletes from youth to professional levels. He has trained alongside and helped prepare elite fighters, including UFC athletes such as Brian Ortega, and has contributed to the development of top-tier talent, including state and national-level champions like Jesse Grajeda and Richard Figueroa.

Surrounded by world champions, Olympic-level athletes, and elite coaches his entire life, Jesse has built his philosophy around what he has lived daily. His mission is to develop the next generation of athletes through elite training, mindset, and discipline—building champions both on and off the mat
